Oklahoma! brings the landmark Rodgers and Hammerstein musical to Metropolis Performing Arts Centre in Arlington Heights, Illinois, with a performance scheduled for May 30, 2027. This production is part of the show's run at the venue from April 29 through May 30. Tickets are listed on ticketsrosemont.com under Theatre and Musical / play.

Set in Oklahoma Territory at the turn of the 20th century, the story follows farmer Curly and farm girl Laurey as their romance unfolds amid a close-knit community. The musical debuted on Broadway in 1943 as the first collaboration between composer Richard Rodgers and librettist and lyricist Oscar Hammerstein II. Its original 2,212-performance run set a Broadway record at the time, and its integrated use of songs, dance, and story helped reshape American musical theater.

Audiences can look forward to celebrated numbers including “Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin',” “The Surrey with the Fringe on Top,” “People Will Say We're in Love,” and “Oklahoma.” The musical received a special Pulitzer Prize citation in 1944 and was adapted into an Academy Award-winning film in 1955. The supplied production information describes a full musical theater staging; specific performers and opening acts have not been announced.
